While I was in Vietnam in 1968, I had a buddy pick up this chess set for me while he was in Hong Kong. It is a product of the the Hang On Ivory Factory. This set predates the 1989 ivory ban. Each piece is individually carved and sits on a Chinese puzzle ball with dragons chasing each other.

I to have one dragons chasing on puzzle balls mine has never been out of the tissue paper they use when package still in the wooden shipping crate never used have both sets of paperwork showing country of origin the ivory was harvested and where it cleared customs order form from hang on Ivory factory Hong Kong dated 1987 stock number 154 5-9 layers what's it worth in pristine (new) condition never been out of the box or played with
