Fort Polk Basic

Private Roe, that's me.

I enlisted in the US Army on 7 Jun 67 and was put on a bus for Fort Polk, Louisiana. I have been chatting with a young man from Massachusetts who is considering enlisting in the Army. I was cleaning out some stuff and ran across my book from basic training. Here are some pictures from that experience. I was assigned to Company C, First Battalion, Second Training Brigade, or C-1-2.
