Jigsaw Puzzle Stand

David's family surprised us with this nice jigsaw puzzle stand. It is adjustable and has four drawers for sorting. We have done three puzzles on it now. It sure makes putting puzzles together easier. Marcia separates edge pieces, and then I start putting them together. Meanwhile, she is sorting pieces by color. We are a good team. Thanks David and family.

Update: 3 January 2023

Marcia bought me a 750 piece puzzle because I "love dogs." Well, that is partially right. I love other people's dogs. Anyhow, we finished it in about four days.

Renewing Headlights for CMax 2013

When we got our 2013 CMax, the headlights were a bit foggy from nine years of service. Here is what they looked like when we got the CMax back in May 2022.

About a month ago, I used some toothpaste to try to clear up the foggy lenses. So, here is what they looked like today before I did the final renew.

I found a headlight restorer kit in an Internet search. Cerakote Ceramic Headlight Restoration Kit came with good reviews for a kit which required no extra equipment. I picked it up for about $17 at Walmart.

Here is what they looked like after the restoration.

While the toothpaste improved the looks, the Creakote kit did a better job of restoration. It took about 20-30 miutes to complete the three steps.

Step 1: The Oxidation Remover lets you wipe away the hazy surface oxidation.
Step 2: The ergonomic surface prep pad removes the deep oxidation and preps the headlight for the CERAMIC clear coating.
Step 3: Cerakote's pre-moistened Ceramic Headlight Restoration Wipes restored the headlights to a like-new condition.

I am really happy with the results.

Fired Up - 2022

We met up with David's family at Fired Up in the Blue Ridge Mall in Hendersonville, NC. The kids chose their own figure to paint. Becca chose an ornament to paint. David chose a feed bowl that we painted together. We left them there for them to fire them. When they get back, we will pick them up and get them to Dave's family.

Mohs Surgery - 11/29/2022

I had my surgery on Tuesday, November 29. There was a spot on my temple and one on my right neck. There is another on my left neck that will be addressed on December 6 when I get these stitches out. The first picture is a composite I made from images they sent to my patient portal. You can see the two spots before the surgery and then after cutting and after recon structure.

Update: November 30, 2022

I am getting ready to remove the bandages after 24 hours.

This is the spot on my right neck. It has a piece of tape over it that will protect it until the stitches are removed.

This is my collar bone donor site. It looks very good.

This is my temple area. I am not sure what the material is made of, but it has some thickness to it so that the cross sutures will apply pressure on it.

After cleaning all areas, I covered the temple area. The other two are to remain open.

Marcia said, "Take a picture of this." It is the bandage that was over my temple area.

Update: December 10, 2022

The graft did not take. So the doctor removed it and cleaned up the wound on the eighth. I am  cleaning the wound with water and hydrogen peroxide and changing the dressing twice a day. Here are some pictures I harvested from a video I took during today's morning dressing change.

It is supposed to ultimately heal nicely. It will just take a bit longer without the graft.

Update: January 9, 2023

I go back to the doc in two days. Here is what the "hole" looks like now. It appears to have healed over to me. Doc said should grow hairs back there, too.  Speaking of hair, I got a haircut today, a much needed haircut.
