We were helping a friend with her move and noticed a vine that was growing around her house. Evidently many mistaken it for poison ivy, but it has five leaves not three. I took pictures of it and also did a search to find out that it is what is known as Virginia creeper, Victoria creeper, five-leaved ivy, or five-finger, and is a species of flowering plant in the grape family. It is not poison. It produces berries that birds enjoy eating. It turns red in the fall.
